Board Games for Our Room

Help me give my students board games and card games that they can enjoy during indoor recess and during monthly attendance incentive parties.

My Students

The students in my class face several challenges both in an out of the classroom as our school is located in a high poverty neighborhood. Despite any challenges they may face, my hope is that in our school, we provide high quality and meaningful learning experiences.

The goal is for students to be excited to come to school every day and to be consistently and actively engaged.

Creating a classroom that is welcoming and comfortable for students is a major priority.

My Project

Winters in Chicago cause my students to spend many weeks indoors for recess. We currently lack any resources for indoor recess. Some students also just prefer to spend some days inside for recess if they are having a tough day personally.

These games will provide an enjoyable way for students to spend indoor recess as well as give students opportunities to play games together in which they can be respectfully competitive.

These games will also be used during our monthly attendance incentive celebrations. In a time where kids spend a lot of time playing video games, these board games will be a breath of fresh air for many of my students.
