This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Board games teach many valuable lessons and improve social emotional skills. Through board games students will learn to think critically, practice patience, turn-taking, perseverance as well as reading and math skills. My students often define fun by being on a screen and watching quick videos. I want to give them the opportunity to engage with one another and have fun through games. During Fridays, we have a time called Fun-Choice Friday. This is the perfect opportunity to play these various games and practice many of these great skills while having fun.
