My students need a mini 3D printer, filament and games to realize their game-making dreams.

My Students
My school is a low-income school with around 50% of all students being on free or reduced lunch. My group of students ranges from STEM ability to resource and special education. They are hard-working, challenging, and diverse students who just need a little boost and a glimpse at a different world. My particular demographic for this project are those students that don't really fit in anywhere else and need a group with similar interests, talents, and hobbies. I love their enthusiasm and creativity!
My Project
"Pair-a-dice" Board Game Design is back! My students will take what they learned last year about the fun of board game design and rise to new heights. We will continue to learn game mechanics and what makes games successful and fun. Then, we will construct our own brilliant designs!
My students are already avid game players, but with the 3-D printer and filament, they will be able to more fully take control of their design ideas and breathe life into their future masterpieces.
Not only will students be in charge of imagining their own designs, but they will be responsible for creating each bit and piece of their games from start to finish. I can't wait to see what kind of amazing pieces they will create for their games!
More than a third of students from low‑income households
