it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year a group of students and I are looking forward to making our unofficial afterschool board game gatherings into an official club on campus! For a while now, we have met afterschool to play board games that have carried onto several sessions but it is now time to expand our board game collection and begin to extend our invitations to other students. It is our hope to be able to provide students a variety of board games and afterschool experiences that build friendships and community.
We have selected several board games that involve several players so more students can join in on the fun!
Students have begun to hear about our game board sessions and have expressed interest in joining which is exciting to hear. To nuture this enthusiasm, I want to provide a space where students can disconnect from school work and enjoy themselves through the power of play. I am excited to see this new club grow on campus with my student board game members and the new students who want to join in on the fun!
