My Students
Thank you for taking the time to consider our soccer team for sponsorship. The soccer program is a great sport here at Burbank. My students look forward to our soccer season. BMS is located in the heart of North side, Houston. Our campus is Title I, most of our students are economically disadvantaged, and English is their second language. Our students are special because despite facing challenges of language and social barriers they excel academically, making BMS a 7-star campus in Texas.
My Project
With these backpacks, soccer balls, and this bench, our students will have the necessary elements to do what they like best...play soccer! It will improve their focus and attention, promote family bonding, and enhance social connections and interactions in learning. Soccer players have to work together as a team in order be successful. Teamwork is a skill needed to be successful in school, work and family. Playing a sport, such as soccer, helps kids gain confidence in themselves. They become more comfortable learning new things and performing in front of a crowd. When kids are motivated and driven, they become more successful students and adults. They will have the opportunity to participate in an extracurricular activity without the stress of being able to afford it.
