A real-life experience demonstrating the effects of impaired driving due to both alcohol and THC. This experience will help participants truly understand the dangers of impaired driving.
Our students are motivated and resilient, each with unique talents and goals for the future.
To support their growth, we provide hands-on learning experiences that help them make informed, responsible choices. One of the most impactful ways to educate them about the dangers of impaired driving is through simulated impairment goggles.
These evidence-based tools vividly demonstrate how alcohol and drugs affect vision, coordination, and decision-making. By experiencing these impairments in a safe environment, students gain a deeper understanding of how substance use can lead to dangerous behaviors, especially when driving.
Alcohol and drugs don’t just impair motor skills—they also slow reaction time, blur judgment, and increase risky decision-making. This can lead to life-altering consequences, including accidents, injuries, legal trouble, and even death. Beyond driving, substance use can negatively impact mental and physical health, damage relationships, and interfere with school and future career opportunities.
Our goal is to empower students with knowledge and firsthand experience so they can make smart, safe choices. Through guided discussions and reflection activities, they’ll connect what they learn to real-life situations, reinforcing the importance of staying alert, responsible, and sober. By understanding the serious risks of impaired driving and substance use, students will be better prepared to protect themselves and others.
