Blue and Gold Academy Closet

Help me give my students shelving, hangers, storage bins, and other supplies to be armed with the power of choice to fuel their confidence, encourage them to attend school, stay in school, and unlock opportunities to break the cycle of poverty.

My Project

Our school building houses two elementary schools. Ttogether we serve over 1200 students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade.

We have a closet that offers clothing and accessories to students experiencing clothing insecurity.

Clothing insecurity is the inability to obtain or purchase adequate clothing or to wash and maintain clothing in an adequate condition.

By arming students with the power of choice, our Blue and Gold Academy Closet fuels students' confidence and encourages them to attend school, stay in school, and unlock opportunities to break the cycle of poverty.
