My Project
My students have been challenged to become more self-reliant by using STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) lessons and experiments. I teach over 500 students and need materials to provide for the 24 classes that I see.
We will be using these materials to learn self-reliance skills, develop farming skills, perform experiments, and collect data.
Students will have the opportunity to see the importance of plants, farmers, pollinators and other materials and how they help our environment and our lives.
We will be connecting music to this experiment by providing some plants with music playing while the other plants will not be exposed. We will use journals to record the difference in our plants and herbs. We will use the lettuce and vegetables we grow to help feed our school chickens.
