My Project
I am submitting this project on behalf of our 100% student run coffee shop located on our school's campus. Our school specializes in teaching vocational skills to young adults with disabilities. We are the only publicly funded school in New Orleans providing vocational training for adults with disabilities and we are proud of this distinction.
Our coffee shop is going into its 7th year of business and just like any successful business it needs to expand.
To this end, we would like to have a blender so that we can start making and selling smoothies. This would teach our students an array of new skills that could potentially place them in careers after they graduate.
Additionally, we are requesting a second Keurig coffee maker in order to meet the increased demand for coffee at our campus. Aside from providing coffee for our students and staff, we also provide coffee for our network's entire administration that shares office space with our school.
Our school relies on grants and donations in order to meet our mission of student independence. Thank you for any and all consideration that you give to this project.
