My Project
Every year, I get a new and excited group of 2nd-grade kiddos. What I have learned by listening to them is that just like most adults, they love to feel useful. I believe we could help our school and community literacy improve by providing the time and resources my students need to mentor the younger students in our building. I hope that these science magazines and culturally aware books will create a bridge between my 2nd graders and the younger students in our building; a common ground where everyone is excited to learn and grow. Kids often relate and respond better to other kids, and I would love to facilitate that within our school and community.
