My kindergarten students are magical! They are loving, joyful, inquisitive, and excited to learn. Being with them each day makes me a better human being and gives me great hope for the future.
With this project, I would like to bring more black representation into our classroom read aloud books, to not only build an appreciation for and understanding of everyone that makes up this planet we all live on, but to also make sure each student I encounter over the years gets to see themselves represented in the books I read to them during Black History Month and throughout the entire school year.
