Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sharpie markers are the backbone to most of my elementary student art drawing lessons. An important skill the sharpies help teach is “outlining “ over their pencil drawings to help gain stronger fine motor development of the hand. Holding their pencils, crayons , oil pastels, paint brushes correctly is very important and this strength that is developed as early starting with kindergarten, will also help children learn how to use their hands better in every day life as they grow up. Children enjoy the bold edge and this bold edge encourages them to color inside the lines and also to emphasize certain important areas of their drawings.
