This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful group of 30 active and engaged students! My students range from gifted to ELL not speaking any English. Every student loves our classroom library and they all love to read! They also love lessons and activities that include hands on tools and crafts of any sort as well.

My Project

I want to fill my classroom library with books about black history! It’s very important that students have this information readily available to them and see it in their very own classroom.

These books will help many students for years to come and will give us an opportunity to read a lot about black history all year round.

My goal is to also do some projects during black history month using these books. With the funding of this project, my students will have many books to choose from depending on their interests so we will have many unique reports being done.
