This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The large majority of the students are ESL. We are a Title I school with a specific demographic. The library here is small and could definitely use funding in order to purchase more current fiction and non-fiction material for the students to read. We are low on several series, as well. I would love to give these children access to more books that they want to read. We need your help to give the kids what they need and deserve!!
My Project
February marks the month where we help to educate our students on the importance of Black history. And while February lasts just one month, the more books we have on this subject ensures that students can continue their education for the entire school year. Stories like these should be available for the students all year long in their school library. So, with your much needed support, we can make this a reality for students here at this elementary school. Education is power ... and inspiration goes a very long way!!
