Black History Is Our History

Help me give my students books about Black History, like Henry's Freedom Box, Freedom on the Menu, and Rosa.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Keim's classroom raised $699

My Project

My students are bubbly, vibrant, and engaged. They want to learn everything there is to know about the world, and never run out of questions. They are enthusiastic readers, and use reading as a portal to learn.

These books from Social Justice Books' list of Black History books will help my students learn about important events in American History- from the Tulsa Race Riots to the Green Book to the Marches in Selma and beyond.

By learning about these key events in American history and learning about the brave men and women who look just like them and took part in these events, my students can begin to see themselves in the past, present, and future of our country.
