This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last school year, generous donors funded the birthday bag project for my students and this school year, I’d love to for my students have this special treat again.

Every child deserves to feel extra special on his or her birthday and I’d like to make this happen by giving each student a birthday gift bag with treats and school supplies.

Students love getting birthday treats! At our school, parents are encouraged to send in goodie bags or cupcakes for their child’s birthday, but not all parents can afford to do so. In the past, I gave my students a small treat bag, but this year, like last year, with the donations from DonorsChoose, I’d like to continue with the gift bag for each student.

The items that I am kindly requesting such as pencils, gel pens, erasers, stickers, pencil pouches, colored pencils, name labels (to label their pencil pouches), stickers, and emoji pencil sharpeners, will nurture their academic skills, as well as their emotional well-being.

I thank you in advance for your generous donation that will bring many smiles to my fabulous first grade students.
