Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a school counselor, I believe in the power of connection, recognition, and belonging. That’s why this project aims to provide a handwritten birthday card to every student and staff member throughout the school year. With your support, we’ll ensure that each individual on our campus receives a simple but powerful message on their special day: You matter, and you are celebrated here.
So often, it’s the little things that leave the biggest impact.
A simple birthday card that's colorful, thoughtful, and addressed personally can light up a child’s face with pure joy. We've all seen how much a few kind words and a moment of attention can mean, especially for students who may not receive recognition regularly or anywhere else. Their faces shine with surprise and delight when they realize someone remembered them. And when staff members receive the same gesture, it reminds them that their presence and work are deeply appreciated.
The goals of this project are to promote a positive, inclusive school culture where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected. By delivering personalized birthday cards year-round, we’re building a tradition of kindness that ripples far beyond a single day. Your donation will help us purchase the cards, stickers, markers, etc that bring these moments to life.
