I plan to do a student art show of oil paintings of birds at our local airport. The oil paints I have requested could help fund this endeavor.
I teach at an alternative high school, this means the students are credit deficient and in danger of failing high school when they come to our school.
Many of these students have experienced trauma, are low income, have learning disabilities or other issues which have contributed to them failing to thrive in their former high school. Smaller class sizes and genuine love and concern have allowed our school to have a 90% graduation rate.
Very few of my students have ever used oil paints when coming to our school but once they start working with them they love the results! If we are doing a public display I believe the works should be in oils as most gallery works are oil paintings. Any help would be appreciated.
