This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students are the owners of their own learning. They were able to vote on what they wanted to learn about. Between transportation and birds, they chose birds. These materials will allow them to learn and become bird experts. They will learn about different bird types, their feathers, their eggs, etc. With these materials they will be able to create bird habitats, such as nests and bird houses. They'll be able to use some of the feathers for fine motor skills such as writing letters using feather and bird seeds. They'll be able to craft their own bird wings and houses! We appreciate 'owl' your support and cannot wait to start our bird learning journey.
