Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will be able to watch the behaviors of birds and in particular hummingbirds by attaching these feeders to the windows in our classroom.
Students will be asked to identify and draw the birds that come to visit us and feed at our new bird feeders.
We will encourage students to take pictures of the birds and upload them to the website Project Noah to have scientists help our class identify what kind of birds we see. We will also keep a journal to write down observations around behavior and physical appearances of the birds.
