This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in Science Research at our high school are eager to use the most up-to-date tools and equipment in science. They have an interest to try and learn biotechnology including growing cells in a lab, running PCR and electrophoresis as they dig deeper into their understanding of the cell, DNA, proteins, and more. The field of microbiology is a wide-ranging discipline involving a variety of scientific techniques that students can practice using. Science in the news is constantly showing students how these tools they are learning are used by scientists today to solve problems.
