This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a ninth grade biology course at HVMS. I thoroughly believe I have a set of the brightest and most impressive students a teacher could ask for. These kids are excited to learn and actively participate in every aspect of my classroom.

These students ask questions and are active participants in their own educations, I would like the opportunity to give them one more chance to learn something they would not be able to experience anywhere else.

My Project

These materials will be used to allow the students the opportunity to physically engage with the concept of anatomy, and evolutionary evidence. I intend to allow students to work in small groups to complete this activity, this way they are able to work collaboratively and learn the importance of teamwork.

At the same time as the in-person class will be underway I intend to video tape the dissection for those students in the hybrid or online programs for them to participate as well.

This will help to meet the needs of all students, even those unable to attend in person. I intend to share this video version with the exclusively online teachers to share at their will.
