My students need a set of nonfiction historical texts and a set of biographies.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. L.'s classroom raised $163

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is located in a high-need inner-city district that has limited funding and resources. These expository texts will highly benefit my ESL students that are struggling to understand difficult text.
My students are very interested in biographies. We write lots of biographies in in our 4th grade writing classroom!
Historial expository text is desperately needed in my ESL classroom. My students find inferencing a difficult reading strategy. These interesting, kid-friendly book selections will help them to learn critical thinking skills that will help them achieve higher scores on the state tests! These resources will greatly benefit my students! The exposure to expository text will promote literacy development. Vocabulary is an area that my ESL students struggle with. Expository text will promote strong vocabulary development.
We thank you in advance. Your help and kindness is so greatly appreciated!!! My students will be successful because you have cared!
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
