This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are so creative and love to display their learning in unique ways. They can turn practically nothing into something amazing. They love to do things outside the box. Instead of creating a typical tri-fold board project, I want to provide a lab coat as a medium.
I want my students to create a biographical lab coat about a famous scientist of their choosing.
They will research the scientist and develop biographical information that they will then represent on their lab coat. Students will use fabric paint and markers to permanently decorate their lab coats.
This lab coat will also serve as an end of year memory for their time in 5th grade. They will have the knowledge gained as well as a final product for years to come.
