My Project
In my planet Earth class, students complete biodiversity surveys in Austin-area parks and preserves. The data they collect is shared with the city of Austin to aid in future land-use decisions. When plotting their zones for data collection in the field, they use 50 meter transect tape measures to assess distance. We are in need of more of these tape measures in our department, as class sizes are growing. Students ideally each need a tape measure in order to most efficiently complete their projects. This project will help make this happen!
