My Students
Having a disorganized classroom can be a big distraction to my pre-kindergarten students. Trays for our cubbies and shovels will help organize our classroom so my students can focus on learning.
Our school is in the heart of East Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY.
The school includes students from Pre-k to eighth grade, and it is a melting pot of descendants from the West Indies. The school is in a high poverty area, and about 95% of the students in the school receive free lunch. There are 18 energetic, three and four year old children in my class but there are not a lot of funds to enrich these students' education because of the budget cuts.
My Project
My classroom needs eight sets of trays to use in the students cubbies and the classroom shelves. The trays for the cubbies will help the students keep their blankets and change of clothes from falling on the floor. Then we will use the rest of the trays to organize the shelves in the many centers around the room. This will help the students find and clean up the materials better.
Making sure my classroom is a safe and organized environment for my students is a priority.
These bins will make it easy for me and my pre-kindergarten students to keep the classroom organized together.
