My students need a classroom that is organized so the materials they need are easy to find and access.

My Students
I teach in a Title 1 school in Ohio where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. All of my kids come from low income neighborhoods and are often faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite the challenges they face, my students deserve to have a classroom that is organized and has all of the tools and materials they need to be successful in school.
This year, I will be piloting the kinder enrichment class at my school. Our room was originally used as an office and currently lacks storage space for classroom supplies. While I have some materials from my previous years of teaching, I do not have containers or bins to organize them.
My Project
My students will benefit from these tubs and containers because it will be easier for them to find and access classroom materials and books. Our room is very small and doesn't have a lot of space for all of the things we need on hand in kindergarten. While there are some shelves, there isn't a way to manage all of the supplies, paper, books, and curriculum.
These organizational tools will help our classroom be a neat, tidy space and allow all of the materials we need to be stored in our room.
From library books to Legos, these tubs and bins will hold all of the materials and math manipulatives we will use throughout the year.
