This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My goal for this year is to create the most amazing classroom library for my kiddos! It all starts with the individual book bins, which will be a great addition to our classroom organization! What organization skills are an essential tool for students to incorporate and carry out in their everyday lives. These bins will allow students to choose their favorite books from the brand new library and read them during the school day. The students will also receive their own labelled book baggy, which they can fill with books and use in class or even take home with them!
Many of my students come from low socio-economic backgrounds/communities and have minimal access to grade-level books.
I'm trying to encourage students to read and have a love for reading! Reading is a foundation for being a lifelong learner.
