My Project
Binoculars will give my students another motivator to move outside. Bird watching and hiking are a life long activity that my students will be able to participate in. I already try to get students outside and these binoculars will only enhance that outdoor experience for them. I've been teaching kayaking and snowshoeing already and have seen such a spark from my students to get outside.
Our school in a low income community and many of our students don't get these experiences outside of school.
Students will gain an appreciation for the nature that we are surrounded by everyday. Being able to give my students the opportunity to get outside can help with their mental health as well as their physical health.
