Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are the definition of perseverance. They have learned to work on the strengths of their learning disabilities and have focused on improving. They do not let some mistakes or mistrials bring them down. They're focused on how they are learning more each day.

They are a group of caring scholars who understand that everyone learns at a different pace, and they enjoy celebrating each others' wins.

I am always amazed by their caring and celebratory attitudes. The materials provided will create an even warmer and more comfortable learning experience. All my students are performing below their grade level. By utilizing bingo and other games, I hope to be able to help build their fluency and strengthen their skills without feeling they are catching up to other students.

When my students come into my classroom, they have individually targeted learning objectives and a space that promotes learning. Throughout the years, I have purchased seat bands and one or two stools that even my most fidgety learners can use. However, with lots of love and use, the items are no longer safe for their needs. The task chairs and wobble stools will be a great addition to our small group learning and allow them to be focused throughout the lesson. Small group tables are a great tool for collaborative learning, and the horseshoe table on the list will not only help ith collaborative learning but for immediate feedback to students. Many times I have to reach out and peer at their work, but being able to swivel to each student and provide that 1:1 feedback is crucial.
