My students need a binding machine and binding materials to help them to keep important creations and to work together. I will be able to create customized workbooks or bind student-made books
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Imagine creating your own history book complete with illustrations and the life stories of exciting historical characters! What if your teacher could create your own workbook designed for your personal needs? These activities can help to personalize the history class for each student.
My students attend a charter school in an inner-city.
They come to school everyday eager to learn with smiles on their faces. Many go out of their way to be kind and supportive and make our school more of a family than some place to go to for a few hours.
My Project
With this binding machine and the binding combs I will be able to bind together important papers. I will be able to bind together review work personalized to the needs of each student. This will be especially helpful to review for standardized tests. Finally, students can begin to create their own "books". This could be a personalized history book (in the form of "write the next chapter of your textbook") or a collection of their work throughout the year.
These resources will not only allow the students to have a more personalized learning experience (a task we all know is difficult in this day and age of over-crowded classrooms)but they will also be able to create written pieces that they can take pride in and claim as their own.
