This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school has students from Pre-K through sixth grade. Approximately 70% of our students qualify for free and reduced-priced lunch. We also have a high English Language Learner population. Many students in my class have accommodations to help meet their diverse learning needs.

My students use binders to organize resources, assignments, and assessments Math and Language Arts, to prepare for middle school expectations.

Our classrooms mostly follow an inclusion model, which means we have general education students, special education, and students with multiple learning needs in the same classroom. Many students have a hard time keeping their binders organized and neat.

My students are hard working 10 year olds that deserve the opportunity to learn and be prepared for the big jump to 6th grade.

My Project

I would like to label all my students' binders, so they can access them easily. Often, my students will take home the wrong binder, if they are in a hurry. Labeling their binders using the Dymo Label Maker, will help my students keep their desks organized. The label maker will also be used to create labels for other resources in the classroom, so students can gain easy access, without wasting time.

My students need tools like a Dymo Label Maker, dividers, and reinforcement labels, to keep their binders and other classroom resources neat and organized.

I am also requesting a heavy duty three-hole punch and multiple sheet staplers for students to access when needed. My students also engage in multiple projects, and we are often at the mercy of basic tools that are jamming or broken. Providing my hard working students with efficient tools, will motivate them to be creative and produce quality work.
