My Project

Our classroom is a bilingual blended full day pre-k. Our classroom consists of 6 diverse learner students along 14 general education students who have been identified as English language learners. The children in our classroom are super sweet and engaged learners but need more sensory materials to help them be more successful during the school day.

Currently, our classroom only has one cube chair but we have several students who would benefit from using one during whole group time. This item being checked off our list would help keep students engaged and focused.

Our classroom has very limited amount of fidgets at this time. Chewys and handheld fidgets would help our diverse learner students keep calm during whole group and quiet times. The Sensory materials would help engage our students using our sensory table. We want to invite students to explore different materials than we currently have. The Calm Down kit would help our diverse learner and English language learner students find positive strategies to calm down when feeling frustrated or upset.
