Bilingual Voices, Artistic Choices

Help me give my students an incredible opportunity to learn core subjects with arts integration. My bilingual students will benefit greatly from the arts and music supplies to support their learning and comfort with new material.

My Project

Art and music are powerful tools for expression—especially for bilingual learners. In our classroom, these creative outlets help students build language skills, confidence, and connection.

As a bilingual teacher, I use arts integration to help my students thrive across subjects.

Whether we’re acting out a story, painting emotions, or keeping the beat to a bilingual song, the arts give every student—regardless of their English proficiency—a voice.

But right now, we’re working with limited materials. We often run out of crayons, paints are drying up, and we don’t have enough rhythm instruments for everyone to participate fully in music activities. When supplies run low, students lose valuable opportunities to explore, create, and express themselves confidently in both languages.

With new art and music supplies, my students will be able to participate more fully in engaging, inclusive, and culturally relevant activities that strengthen both their creativity and their communication. These resources will help all learners shine—especially those still finding their voice in English.
