This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is a Tk-8 school emphasizing multiculturalism and multilingual skills in the classroom. The students in the middle school are in mixed 6-8 grade level.
The 6-8 grade students at BG are multilingual, multicultural young adults who consistently show their want to be leaders.
Math is taught in English yet students may have more needs as English language learners. A visually presented math lesson works best for this school meaning that students often write using whiteboard markers.
The basic supplies, as well as visuals for math instruction, will help scaffold their learning in this unique school environment.
