This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of our students who were impacted by COVID were not around other children during critical socialization periods of childhood, and need support building their social skills and problem solving skills. The requested books, supplies, and activities will help to address social-emotional needs in both Spanish and English at my school, and improve access by having them available in both languages. As a school psychologist, I can work with students in small groups on these skills such as problem-solving, regulating emotions, building connection with a trusted adults, and learning how to make meaningful friendships.
