This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Half of my pre-k students' first language is Spanish; therefore I'm in need of books that are bilingual. Bilingual books are great for English language learners and their families. Our classroom has a lending library however I am short of bilingual books that I can lend to families to read to their children. This leads to families receiving English books that they are unable to read to their young learners.
With your donation, I will be able to get more bilingual books into the hands of my students and their families which will encourage more reading at home.
These bilingual books are a great way to show children the importance of positive behavior—from following the rules to treating others with respect! Each illustrated book focuses on positive ways for kids to interact with each other, helping them develop important social-emotional skills they’ll carry into adulthood.
