This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project would provide bilingual English and Spanish books for our newcomers to use in our take-home reading program. Families will be able to enjoy stories each week with their children, reading in their home language. The TpT gift card will be used to purchase English language learning resources as well as teaching resources that are written in English and Spanish. These teaching materials could include material for ELD instruction,homework, classroom projects and decodable readers.
Making positive home-to-school connections is very important to me.
I want families to feel supported and to be able to read to their children in their home language. Being able to provide quality literature that is appropriate for my students will help foster the connection between home and school.
