Bilibos for Kindergarteners

Help me give my students Bilibos. The Bilibos will be used to stretch my students' imaginations and for them to sit in while reading and doing their work.

My Students

I have the most amazing and wonderful Kindergartners. My students come from very low income families. Many of my students live in government housing and the only meals they have are the free breakfast and lunch they receive at school. Many of my students come to school in dirty clothes, clothes that don't fit, or what they wore the day before.

My students come to school every day excited to learn reading and math.

They are like sponges and I want to provide them with all the tools they will need to be successful.

My Project

Bilibos are a hard piece of plastic that are shell-shaped. The Bilibos will allow my Kindergarten students to move while learning. Movement helps all of us become stronger thinkers by stimulating our brain. My Kindergarteners learn better when they are able to move around. Bilibos are made out of sturdy material that will last a very long time. The kids can sit on them or inside them and rock back in forth or in a circle. Rocking, spinning, and balancing in or on the shell helps develop gross motor skills. Bilibos can also be used for opened ended activities that will allow the kids to use their imaginations during centers. They have also won several international awards.
