My Students
"I'm a fourth grade lead teacher in an urban charter school. Most our our students are considered "Title 1". Our school is based upon the head start model of instruction where most of the instruction is to be child centered and hands on. Our schools budget is very small so I need all the help I can
My class is an inclusion class and most of my students are working below grade level.
As teachers we need to be creative and always on our feet and ready to go. I am very artistic and creative, so I always make my own teaching aids such as posters, overheads, charts and many more. The only problem with that is that we don't have an overhead projector that works, so I'm always borrowing from other classes.
My Project
All my students are different kind of learners. Half of my students are hands on learners and the other half are visual learners. So I'm always handing out both manipulatives and pictures or poster which help my students be more successful.
Being able to see the information on a big screen rather then in tiny print would be better for some of my students.

An overhead projector and an overhead projector screen would allow me to create activities to share with my students and show them the big picture.
This machine would also allow me to create multiple activities that other wise would be financially impossible to afford with my small budget. Having an overhead projector and screen would be priceless.
So I'm asking for your help.
