Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will help me reward students with books or book marks after they get to their goal at the library. This program that I would be implementing will work closely with teachers to help our k-2 students obtain goals. We have a millionaire program but that focuses on older readers. I am hoping that the younger readers will join the rich reader program so that they can obtain the goals and earn prizes such as bookmarks, books and other motivational prizes. By donating the graphic novel sets or other sets, this allows me to break up the sets so students can earn the books of their choice. Graphic novels are great for students because they can put pictures to writing and when kids are moving higher with their reading sometimes a chapter book can overwhelm. Graphic novels break up the writing to help them personally with their goal-- reading the entire story. My overall hope is the idea as you continue to grow from reading, becoming a millionaire is easier than ever and they all enjoy reading.
