Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A ruined projection screen and destroyed headphones do not make for an enjoyable experience! My students have suffered long enough and should no longer watch movies, videos and research presentations through a graffiti riddled screen or listen to research materials with one-eared headphones.

My students are talented researchers, performers, speakers and presenters!

They love an opportunity to take the stage and always do it with style and professionalism. They are tech-savvy and know how to get an audience to pay attention. The auditorium is a favorite spot in our school and our students are no strangers to speaking in front of an audience. The computer lab is utilized by parents, teachers, students and guests. Visitors to our beautiful library/lab frequently spend time researching and accessing information.

My Project

Not too long ago, the projection screen on our auditorium's stage was vandalized beyond repair. Utilizing silver spray paint, vandals turned our screen into an ugly scar in our otherwise beautiful auditorium. A new screen would allow us to use our auditorium for what it was intended for. Our students have missed opportunities to present research projects in front of their peers. They have not had opportunities to showcase videos that they have created. They have not been able to give teachers and parents an opportunity to see their skills on the big screen. A new projection screen for our school's auditorium will not only make a big impact on the work that students do but will also make a big impact on our school community by allowing proud parents and guests to see the results of the hard work that their children have done.

By donating a projection screen for our stage and headphones for our computers, the auditorium and lab will be complete.

Vandals have made our auditorium ugly and unusable. Frequent use have made the headsets for our computers unusable. Your donation will allow our students to complete the research needed to complete projects and give them the opportunity to showcase their work.
