Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We’re excited to launch a two-part project that will bring creativity, STEM learning, and important lessons about diversity and inclusion into our classroom through block play and imaginative exploration!

In Part 1 of our project (Big Ideas for Little Builders), we’re requesting multicultural building figurines and new block sets.

These figurines represent people from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, and abilities—helping our students see themselves and others reflected in their play. This representation is crucial for building empathy, respect, and a deeper understanding of our diverse world.

Part 2 focuses on storing and organizing the blocks and figurines from Part 1 so they stay safe, accessible, and inviting. Proper, child-friendly storage encourages students to independently select and care for these materials, fostering responsibility and respect for diverse stories and identities expressed through play.

By providing a home for these blocks and multicultural figurines, we’re not only preserving valuable learning tools but also creating an environment where every child can build and imagine communities that celebrate inclusion, creativity, and collaboration.

Your support for this project will help us ensure these meaningful materials remain in great condition and available for ongoing exploration—empowering our little builders to dream big and build with purpose!

Thank you for helping us nurture creativity, inclusion, and learning in our classroom!
