Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a fairly new teacher, I am passionate about supporting the social and emotional development of my students through sensory based strategies. In my classroom, I strive to create a nurturing environment where children can feel safe, calm, and focused. I am currently working to build a collection of sensory tools and calming items that students can access when they feel overwhelmed or need a break. These resources will play a vital role in helping them regulate their emotions, refocus, and fully engage in learning. With your support, I hope to provide students with the tools they need to thrive both emotionally and academically.
