My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
I teach at a Title I school in Florida where over 90 percent of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekend and are faced with many challenges in and out of the classroom. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
These iPads will allow my students to access online resources to increase content knowledge in math and science. There are many wonderful resources provided to our students, but not enough technology to access them. Adding four iPads to my classroom will allow students more time to dig deeper into many content areas And create engaging ways to differentiate instruction for all students. Many of my first grade students struggle to use old fashion desktop computers efficiently, but are familiar with touch screens and can quickly navigate a tablet. Adding these iPads to my classroom to create a higher level of excitement and self-directed learning for all students!
