Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a unique group of aspiring readers and writers who enjoy a calm and engaging environment. We gather our thoughts and ideas by spreading out in the classroom and having options to think in comfortable seating, like stadium seats and the foam cushions.

This project will help me encourage and assist them to be creative and expressive through drawing, illustrating, creating stories, and poetry with the use of crayons, markers and other various by writing tools.

Many of my students think outside of the box, requiring different instructional learning styles from general classmates and process ideas at a different level of most students. My resource room ranges from third graders to fifth graders. Materials that are color coded and matching, like pencil boxes and zipper bags, assist in creating independence and confidence when given tasks to find their materials for tasks, games and learning materials independently.
