My Students
Our books are well loved. Some are so taped together they can't close. Wouldn't it be wonderful to know each book that gets checked out has all the pages of the story for it's readers?
I am a librarian for a K-8 Charter School. I have over 500 students come through the library each week. Some of them already love to read and are always looking for something new. Others are working hard to master reading. My challenge is to have something for everyone.
My Project
My students need books, such as the Fourth Apprentice, Battles of the Clans and Shadow Kiss for checking out of our library. With this project, we will be able to offer new exciting series for our students of all ages to get hooked on. The "Maximum Ride" series is a perfect example of a thrilling series that will inspire many grade levels. For the younger students, the "Melvin Beederman Superhero" series will provide the humor they are looking for.
This project can provide current, up to date, and exciting reading for students of every level at our school. The more we can inspire reading, the better chance we have of our students continuing to read throughout their life.
