My Students
I believe every child deserves the opportunity for an excellent education, and I am proud to partner with my school, other educators, families and community leaders to strive toward this goal. I teach in a high poverty school zone in which 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
These amazing students need additional support because most of them come from low-income single family households of which many have little to no support or resources.
Despite some of the challenges they face in and around their environment, every year my students come to school excited, full of life and eager to learn.
My Project
Classic big books, cute storytelling props & engaging activities—everything that we need in preschool for lively, literature-based learning! Each big book kit features a big book, plus all the props that we need to retell the story from hand puppets to soft-stuffed characters. Not only would it just be the teacher reading a book, the students will be so engaged and they can even take the lead in retelling and acting out the stories with the materials from the kit.

Big books are big enough that every one will be able to see the pictures and be able to engage in the love of literacy.
