My students are spunky and enthusiastic 5 and 6 year old ESL students who love story time! I would love to be able to provide them with the tools needed to reach their optimal potential and to facilitate an environment where literacy is loved! The use of BIG books is strongly encouraged in early childhood education and I believe my students would benefit greatly from this addition to our reading/phonics routine. Reading and imagination is so very vital to small children’s learning, especially students who are new to learning English. Funding this project will give them a different way to use their imagination to become strong readers in the classroom.
