My students love listening to stories that are large, colorful and visually vibrant. Big books engage children in the storytelling process, engagement and improved comprehension with the development of creativity.
Big books paired with activities develop rich language and diverse vocabulary to expand their knowledge of words and improve their overall language skills.
My goals are for Big interactive books, to help my students develop critical thinking skills by encouraging them to make predictions and understand cause and effect, empathy, and understanding for others.
My students are learning print concepts and basic sight words. They enjoy sharing where to begin reading on the page, talking about the pictures, and identifying early literacy sight words.
